Joshua John Ward On Slavery

In class, we had a "town meeting". Everyone had to act as someone in the past, giving a "for" or "against" viewpoint. I was Joshua John Ward. He was known for his "slave count". He owned the most slaves of any

man in the United States had ever owned. Dubbed "King of the rice planters", Ward owned over 1100 slaves on his plantations. He doesn't have many recorded quotes throughout history but if he was to be questioned on his stand on slavery, he would most likely lean heavily to the pro side.
